Growth and Development: Supporting metabolic functions and maintaining healthy skin, cartilage, and bones.
Dosage and Administration
-
Adults and Adolescents (12 years and older):
-
Take 1 capsule once daily.
-
-
Severe Deficiency: In cases where a physician identifies a significant deficiency, the dose may be increased to 2 capsules daily for a specific duration.
-
Administration: Swallow the capsule whole with a full glass of water.
-
With Food: While it can be taken on an empty stomach, taking it with or after a meal is highly recommended for those with sensitive stomachs to prevent gastric irritation or nausea.
Adverse Reactions
Vitacinc is generally very well-tolerated. High doses or sensitivity may cause:
-
Gastrointestinal: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramps, or heartburn.
-
Renal: Long-term excessive intake of Vitamin C may increase the risk of calcium oxalate kidney stones in susceptible individuals.
-
Other: A temporary metallic taste in the mouth (common with Zinc supplements) or headache.
Important Safety Precautions
-
Avoid Overdosage: Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Excessive Zinc intake over long periods can interfere with the body’s absorption of copper.
-
Drug Interactions: Zinc can interfere with the absorption of certain antibiotics (e.g., tetracyclines and quinolones). Take Vitacinc at least 2 hours before or 4 hours after taking these medications.
-
Renal Health: Use with caution if you have a history of kidney stones or chronic kidney disease.
-
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place (below 30°C) and protect from direct sunlight and moisture to ensure the stability of the Ascorbic Acid.
-
Pregnancy and Nursing: Consult a healthcare professional before use. While these nutrients are essential during pregnancy, they should be taken within the recommended daily allowances.
