Indications

Biogesic is a trusted brand of paracetamol used for the effective relief of minor aches and pains and the reduction of fever. It is indicated for:

• Headache and Migraine: Relief of tension-type headaches and migraine discomfort.

• Body Aches: Management of muscular aches, backache, and generalized body pain.

• Dental Pain: Relief of toothache and pain following dental procedures.

• Menstrual Cramps: Symptomatic relief of dysmenorrhea.

• Fever Reduction: Lowering high body temperature associated with the common cold, flu, and post-immunization reactions.

Dosage and Administration

• Adults and Children 12 years and over: * Take 1 to 2 tablets (500 mg to 1,000 mg) every 4 to 6 hours as needed for pain or fever.

• Maximum Daily Dose: Do not exceed 8 tablets (4,000 mg) in any 24-hour period.

• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with water. It can be taken safely on an empty stomach or with food.

• Minimum Interval: Maintain at least a 4-hour gap between doses.

Adverse Reactions

Paracetamol is highly tolerated when used as directed. Rare side effects may include:

• Dermatological: Rare skin rashes, itching, or hives.

• Gastrointestinal: Very rare instances of nausea or stomach upset.

Important Safety Precautions

• Avoid Duplication: Do not take Biogesic with other medications containing paracetamol (such as “all-in-one” cold and flu remedies). This is the most common cause of accidental overdose.

• Liver Warning: Severe liver damage may occur if you exceed the maximum daily dose, take it with other paracetamol-containing drugs, or consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks daily while using this product.

• Kidney/Liver Health: If you have pre-existing liver or kidney disease, consult a healthcare professional before use to determine the appropriate dosage.

• Pregnancy and Nursing: Biogesic is generally considered the preferred pain reliever for pregnant and breastfeeding women, but it should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest time necessary.

• Persistent Symptoms: If pain lasts more than 10 days or fever persists for more than 3 days, discontinue use and consult a physician.
