Description

Indications

Used for the relief of mild to moderate pain and the reduction of fever. It is indicated for:

• Headache and Migraine

• Muscular aches and Backache

• Toothache and pain after dental procedures

• Menstrual cramps (Dysmenorrhea)

• Aches and pains associated with the common cold and flu

• Fever reduction

Dosage and Administration

• Adults and Children 12 years and over: * Take 1 to 2 tablets (500 mg to 1,000 mg) every 4 to 6 hours as needed for pain or fever.

• Maximum Daily Dose: Do not exceed 8 tablets (4,000 mg) in any 24-hour period.

• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food, though taking it on an empty stomach may result in slightly faster absorption.

• Minimum Interval: Ensure at least 4 hours between doses.

Adverse Reactions

Paracetamol is generally very well-tolerated when taken at the recommended dosage. Side effects are rare but may include:

• Dermatological: Rare instances of skin rash, itching, or hives.

• Gastrointestinal: Minor stomach upset or nausea.

• Serious Reactions (Rare): Severe skin reactions (such as Stevens-Johnson Syndrome) or liver damage (typically only associated with overdose).

Important Safety Precautions

• The “Paracetamol Limit”: Do not take this medication with any other products containing paracetamol (e.g., certain cold and flu syrups, sinus medications, or other pain relievers). Overlapping these products can lead to an accidental overdose.

• Liver Warning: Severe liver damage may occur if you take more than the maximum daily dose (4,000 mg), take it with other paracetamol-containing drugs, or consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks daily while using this product.

• Alcohol Restriction: Chronic or heavy alcohol consumption significantly increases the risk of paracetamol-induced liver toxicity.

• Pre-existing Conditions: Consult a doctor before use if you have impaired liver or kidney function.

• Pregnancy and Nursing: Paracetamol is generally considered the first-choice pain reliever during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but it should still be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest time necessary.

• Persistent Symptoms: If pain lasts more than 10 days or fever lasts more than 3 days, stop use and consult a physician.
